Commentary Friend Reflects on Death of Cleveland Artist Masumi Hayashi Tuesday, August 22, 2006
Friends, co-workers, and fans of internationally known Cleveland artist Masumi Hayashi continue to mourn her death. Jacob Cifelli was charged yesterday with two counts of aggravated murder in the shooting of Hayashi and fellow artist John Jackson. Hayashi, a professor of photography at Cleveland State University, was known for her creative vision and peaceful personality. WKSU Commentator Jeff Hagan knew Hayashi for about 15 years and is among those still trying to make sense of what happened last Thursday.
