| Many of the nation's sewer systems are facing an expensive crisis. They weren't built to handle this much sewage- and storm-water, and they're also just old. The result is that lots of raw sewage is finding its way to lakes and rivers, which often means drinking water. The Bush administration is simultaneously mandating reductions in that pollution and cutting funding to help with the huge clean up projects. |
