Tuesday, April 11, 2006 Making A Call To Prevent Foreclosures
|
| | |
| A network of non-profits is hoping to ring in some help for Ohioans in danger of foreclosures. A new hotline opened in the state today to offer counseling for at-risk homeowners. Area organizations that are members of the umbrella group "NeighborWorks America" are having counselors trained this week on various loss mitigation programs offered by lenders. The number, 1-888-995-HOPE, was first set up about three years ago by the Homeownership Preservation Foundation. WKSU's Renita Jablonski talked with April McNeal of the East Akron Neighborhood Development Corporation about the roll-out of the phone counseling service in Ohio. |
