Governor To Sign New Safety Law for Schools

An accident that took the life of a Lebanon Ohio school child is the impetus behind a new law that Governor Bob Taft is signing on Monday. The law requires regular safety inspections of school equipment by health officials. Jim Bennett campaigned for the measure. He's the father of Jarrod Bennett, who was crushed by a falling fold-up cafeteria table two years ago when he was only six.
