National Symphony Orchestra Conductor Leonard Slatkin returned to Blossom this summer for the first time in three years. Slatkin was the first Music Director of the Blossom Festival, leading the Cleveland Orchestra at its summer home for nine seasons. Slatkin is also Conductor Laureate of the St. Louis Symphony where he served from 1968 to 1996. After a rehearsal at Severance Hall, Slatkin spoke with WKSU's Vivian Goodman in his dressing room.
