Kevin NiedermierDuring his first term as President, George W. Bush has had to steer the country through an economic downturn, terrorist attacks on home soil, and war with Iraq. Now he faces a challenging battle for reelection. Listen to Kevin Niedermier from August 30 through September 3 as he sends back reports direct from the floor of Madison Square Garden as the Republican National Convention takes over New York City.

(September 02, 2004)

Vice President Dick Cheney addressing the Ohio Delegation breakfast
today. Delegates arrived at 7:30 for the event, but due to extra security
measures for Cheney's visit, they waited until almost 2 and a half hours
for him to arrive and give a 10 minute talk.

Convention Day Three
(September 01, 2004)

As President of the U-S Conference of Mayors, Akron's Democratic
Mayor Don Plusquellic co-hosts a reception for Republican mayors at
the Copa Cobana. He's flanked on his right by White House Office of
Intergovernment Affairs, Toby Banks, and former Dayton Mayor, now
Congressman, Mike turner.

The one millionth person to volunteer to work on the Bush/Cheney
campaign, Becky Brown of Tipp City, Ohio. She won a visit with the
President and this all expenses paid trip to the RNC.

Convention Day Two
(August 31, 2004)

Democrat Day at the RNC. Democratic Youngstown Mayor George
McKelvey and Democratic Georgia Senator Zell Miller tell the Ohio
delegation why they are supporting President Bush's reelection.
Both men cite the President's war on terror as a big reason.

Intimidation and efficiency all in one. The New York City Police
use dozens of scooters to patrol Times Square.

Bobby Bacala get a straight job. Soprono's actor Steve Schirripa is covering
the RNC for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Actor Fred Willard covered the
DNC for the show.
