Early voting set in two counties
Browns v. Ravens
|
Early voting set in two counties Election officials in several Ohio counties aren't waiting for a federal appeals court to decide whether people can cast an early ballot three days before the fall election.
At least two Ohio elections boards have set their own hours during the disputed early voting days.
A federal judge has granted a request by President Barack Obama's campaign that restores early voting for all voters during the weekend and Monday before the Nov. 6 election.
The state is appealing the ruling. Secretary of State Jon Husted had initially banned county boards from establishing hours during the appeal process. He later rescinded the directive.
Election boards in Wayne and Jefferson counties have set hours on the disputed days. Summit County's board also has tried to establish times.
Browns v. Ravens The Browns are front and center in tonight's only NFL matchup; they’ll take on the Ravens in Baltimore and it's the first game this season with the regular referees after they reached a contract with the NFL last night. |
