Monday, June 4, 2012 Husted asks for more poll workers this November Ohio Secretary of State is scouting for poll workers this November. Story by FRED KIGHT This story is part of a special series.

| Ohio is already being heavily targeted by both the Obama and Romney presidential campaigns, and turnout is expected to be heavy this fall.
So Secretary of State Jon Husted is touring the state this month to encourage residents to become poll workers in November. |
“We’re trying to recruit as many poll workers as we possible can because that is one of the things we always have challenges with,” Husted said. “Making sure that there are plenty of people to work at the polls and they’re properly trained and that the election process runs smoothly.”
Husted assured that people who have never worked as a Precinct Election Official will be trained on how to check a voter’s identification and how to issue a provisional ballot. To become a poll worker, contact your local county board of elections office. |
