What Software Do I Need in Order to Listen?

You can tune-in online using one of the players listed at the right of the page. All can be downloaded for free. (RealNetworks offers a subscription plan and an enhanced player for which you need to pay a fee, but neither of these are required to listen to WKSU, the free version will do fine.)

We post all new on-demand content in Windows Media and RealPlayer and MP3 formats. However, older archived content is only available in RealPlayer format and will require that player to listen.

The aacPlus streams, which provide excellent sound quality at very low bit rates, are supported by:

- Winamp on Windows PCs.

- VLC on Mac, Linux/Unix, and Windows PCs.

Listen on your iPhone via the Public Radio Player. (iTunes link)

For other mobile cell phone streams, enter the given URL into your mobile device supporting MP3, aacPlus, or 3GPP RTSP streaming.
