WKSU presents "More Holiday Stories from The Gundie Journal"

This issue of The Gundie Journal, that one-time printed 'zine which now has a happy, if infrequent home on the radio, comes to you with a great deal of enthusiasm from all involved. Actors revel in bringing stories to life. As do musicians. As do producers. That's why we all work on a project like this, just for our anticipation of your enjoyment. The holidays are a convenient excuse for storytelling, and this is so much more fun than telling the story of commercial products, which is what keeps the food on the table for a great many involved in this.

No editorial mandates were handed to the writers. 'Do you have a story for the holidays?' was the extent of the

request. As the stories came into existence, it was, "Let's make this work on the radio." Or the Internet. How great it is to put all of the information on these pages here where you can read it, and not feel obligated to clutter up the show with it.

All of these stories were requisitioned, edited, cast, recorded, and mixed by yours truly for the fun of it. My deep thanks to all of the professionals who keep the standards high when the pay is, well, nonexistent.

If you like it, let us know. Most of all, just enjoy.

--Joe Gunderman, "Gundie"
