Harry Christmas



 


James Huston: Author
James has been a film, television and stage actor and writer for 25 years. He is also on the national board member of American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and president of Screen Actors Guild, Houston, and an adjunct professor in the film and theater department at Rice University. He studied playwriting with Edward Albee and is the recipient of several awards for his film scripts. His feature film Suitable for Framing was a recent Nicholl Fellowship semi-finalist, and is slated for production in April 2008.



Chuck Richie: Bobby (narrator)
Chuck Richie is a twenty-nine year veteran of professional acting work for the stage and the media. He trained in England at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and received his undergraduate degree from Denison University in nearby Granville. Chuck was a founding company member of Shakespeare & Co. He has played more than twenty different roles in works by Shakespeare, among them Horatio in Hamlet, The Duke in Measure for Measure, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and First Player in Hamlet at Kent State University, where he is an Assistant Professor of Voice and Acting. He also spent ten years in the New York theater, where he appeared at such well-known venues as La Mama E.T.C., Playwrights Horizons, and Theatre for the New City. Chuck is frequently employed as a voice and dialect coach in the Cleveland/Akron area, and has also worked as an actor a The Cleveland Play House, Dobama Theatre, Cain Park, and Porthouse Theatre Company and has been seen in numerous radio and television commercials and industrial films and videos.



Greg Violand: Uncle Harry


Maryann Nagel: Mom
Maryann Nagel is a fulltime freelance actress working across the country on stage, in film, TV, and on the radio. She has worked with George Clooney, Tom Smothers, Hal Holbrook, Neil Diamond, Sir Laurence Olivier, Elizabeth Franz to name a few. She has been seen on General Hospital, Days Of Our Lives, and in the films The Jazz Singer, Dreaming On Christmas, Homeless, and more. On stage including: Private Lives, Into The Woods, Measure For Measure, Oedipus Rex, and recently completed a two and a half year run in Menopause: The Musical in Cleveland, Ohio and still performs this show across the country and Canada for GFour Productions. She sings and narrates with the Cleveland Orchestra, teaches and directs for The Idea Centre @ Playhouse Square Centre/Medina Performing Arts Centre. She was honored as a Kennedy Centre Artist as Educator and enjoys performing her own cabaret with her husband/actor Greg Violand.



Nicholas Grace: Young Harry
Nicholas Grace is a 7th grader at St. Raphael's School in Bay Village. He enjoys the theatre and acting and recently played a pirate in PETER PAN. He will be appearing in Godspell in the spring of 2008.



Dylan Waickman: Young Jack
Dylan Waickman is 14 years old, and goes to school at St. Raphael's in Bay Village. He started acting in sixth grade. He has done three plays with the school's Drama Club, including A Christmas Carol, Cinderella ,and Snow White. He also performed at Cleveland Playhouse in Writers and Their Friends. Apart from acting, he spends much of his time playing sports, including on his school's football, basketball, and baseball teams, and baseball, his favorite sport, in a rec. league.
