Aunt
Jill
What’s it like
to live 14 years and never know a white Christmas?
And not care? That only introduces this story
told by a girl named after her eccentric, resourceful,
and maybe just plain crazy aunt. It’s
one particular, recent holiday when the annual
Jackson family Christmas party tried to whether
the storm of all the family personalities attending
the same Florida barbeque.

Angela
Johnson - Author
Angela Johnson has been an award-winning
author for years. She was born in Tuskegee, Alabama
in June of 1961 and knew before reaching middle
school that she wanted to be a writer. Her passion
for writing continued in high school where she
became an avid free-form poet. This writing is
what led her to writing children's books. Her
stories deal with sibling and intergenerational
subject matter and focus on the importance of
family values. The characters in her stories are
African American and reflect the lives of the
majority of her readers. Johnson has been the
recipient of the Coretta Scott King Award twice.
Her books include The Other Side; The Shorter
Poems, Heaven, and its prequel, The First Part
Last.

After nearly 15 years of touring and recording
with his own band, he settled in Cleveland and
began specialzing in music for improvisational
