Celebrate the holidays as WKSU offers seasonal sounds during Classical music programs
throughout December. Other special treats include Folk music with a holiday
theme from Judy Collins, Peter Oshtrusko, Jim Blum and more. Premieres for 2007
include a new installment of Ornaments & Icing: Songs and Stories of the Holidays
and More Holiday Stories from the Gundie Journal. Apollo's Fire, the Cleveland
Baroque Orchestra, shines in a series of performances in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Mark the arrival of 2008 with a rebroadcast of Garrison Keillor's New Year's Eve show from
the Ryman Auditorium and the annual Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Day concert.

Jeanette Sorrell and Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, present one of Bach’s most joyful and sumptuous works – a collection of six sacred cantatas.

7:00 pm — Bach’s Magnificat and Cantata 140
Bach’s major vocal work based on the canticle of Mary is presented by Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, along with Cantata 140, one of Bach’s best-known pieces.
