Buddy Guy pre-sale tickets

WKSU members can use the code WKSU for a chance to order tickets early to see blues singer Buddy Guy at the Akron Civic Theatre on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. The pre-sale is Thursday, Nov. 29 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. Use this link to order through Ticketmaster.

A portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum education activities, which reach audiences from toddlers to senior citizens.

Originally from Louisiana, Buddy Guy began learning guitar on a two-string diddley bow he made. He later went on to become a pioneer of the Chicago Blues sound. Guy was also ranked 30th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and has been an influence to some of the most acclaimed musicians of his generation, including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
