I love the Mendelssohn watercolor. It’s reminiscent of watercolors done by JRR Tolkein – the pastels and the surprise that he was capable of producing such exquisite artwork (the music notwithstanding). Thanks for sharing – I’ve set it as by desktop picture.

This is amazing. How precious it is to see my favorite composers’ painting. Having seen this work of art enriches my feelings 10X for Mendelssohn.

i am working in a project in which i have to investigate mendhelssons compositios and its relation with art of course specially with his paintings.I would be very thankful for any ideas!
