He was inspiring, delightful and brought out the best in each of us--creating a glee club that sounded awfully good. I treasure the lifelong love of music he instilled in me. And, how lucky, that I subsequently got to walk across the street from where we live, opposite Ravinia Park in Highland Park, to watch him conduct on warm summer evenings.
