Joyce Adams
Membership Manager
Joyce joined the staff at WKSU in 1989. She has worked most of those years in the membership department as WKSU’s Development Associate in charge of member services and volunteers. The volunteer portion of her job suits Joyce just fine. “I like the excitement of a fund drive, and I like having the chance to spend time with WKSU’s volunteers,” she says. “We couldn’t run this place without the people who spend time at the station answering phones, stuffing envelopes, and helping with many small jobs. I try to let them know how much we appreciate them. They are truly a part of the WKSU family.” Considering that Joyce usually arrives at the station at 5 a.m. during every fund drive – making coffee and assembling breakfast – WKSU’s early morning volunteers are well aware of her appreciation. When not working at the station, Joyce enjoys spending time wither three dogs and one cat. “They love you no matter what! What could be any better than that,” she says.
