WKSU has named Reporter/Producer Daniel Hockensmith the new host of "Your Way Home," the station's evening half-hour news magazine. Hockensmith replaces original host Renita Jablonski who is currently WKSU local host of NPR's "Morning Edition." "Your Way Home" combines reports from the WKSU newsroom, the Statehouse News Bureau and the Capitol News Bureau in Washington, DC, offering a Northeast Ohio regional approach to news and politics. The program is broadcast Mondays through Fridays at 6 p.m.

Hockensmith joined WKSU in 2005 as chief Reporter/Producer in the station's Stark-Wayne Counties Bureau in Canton’s Cultural Center for the Arts. His journalism experience includes working as reporter, writer, editor and producer for radio and television stations in Akron, Cincinnati, and Dayton. Hockensmith began his journalism career as a newspaper reporter. His awards include a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award from Radio-Television News Directors Association and being name Best Reporter by Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters. Originally from the Cincinnati area, Hockensmith now lives in Fairlawn. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State University.

WKSU broadcasts NPR & Classical Music at 89.7 FM, and is a service of Kent State University.
